Paul Ratliff was an American psychologist and mental health practitioner, widely recognized as the husband of actress Maggie Siff. Born in Los Angeles, California, he pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Wesleyan University, graduating in 1988. He later earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2018.
Professionally, Ratliff’s career was diverse. He began as an ethnographic researcher at E-Lab in 1995, conducting studies with applications in various industries, including automotive and health. He later joined Sapient’s research think tank, focusing on product development strategies and consumer behavior studies.
His strategic vision at Johnson & Johnson brought fresh perspectives to consumer health products, blending market research with innovative design solutions. Eventually, he transitioned into psychology, practicing as a licensed marriage and family therapist at the Erika Malm Collective in New York, specializing in relationship counseling.
Their Relationship & Marriage
Maggie Siff and Paul Ratliff’s relationship began in a modern and intimate way: they connected through email correspondence while Siff was filming “Sons of Anarchy.” This digital courtship blossomed into a deep connection, leading them to marry in October 2012.
For their first wedding anniversary, Ratliff gifted Siff a bound manuscript of their email exchanges, highlighting the sentimental value of their early communication. Throughout their marriage, they maintained a low profile, occasionally appearing together at public events but largely keeping their personal lives private.
Family & Private Life
In 2014, the couple welcomed their daughter, Lucy, adding a new dimension to their lives. Despite Siff’s rising fame from roles in “Mad Men” and “Billions,” the family prioritized privacy, focusing on creating a nurturing environment for Lucy. They balanced their demanding careers with family life, often keeping their personal affairs away from the public eye.
Tragically, Paul Ratliff passed away in December 2021 after battling brain cancer, leaving behind a legacy of professional achievements and cherished family memories.
