Dallas, Texas August 4, 2020-- Stroud Companies announced today that it had invested in Heathe, Inc., the technology leader in developing and deploying sanitization, circadian and biological lighting solutions. As a result of COVID-19, coupled with the constant desire to provide a “person-centered approach” to solutions, Stroud began the search to invest in a company that was providing state-of-the-art sanitization technology and solutions to help various sectors of our economy reopen safely during this pandemic, with emphasis on the senior living industry. Earlier this year, Healthe deployed its Cleanse® Series of sanitization products, which feature Far-UVC light that helps inactivate pathogens both on surfaces and in the air.
“When we look at portfolio companies, we are ultimately investing in and trusting a team of operators. With Healthe, we found an amazingly talented and forward looking group that is already in place and bringing to market cutting edge products and utilizing Far-UVC light to help mitigate viruses and get people safely back to work and play,” said Will Stroud, Managing Director, Stroud Companies.
For years, Healthe has been leveraging the powerful properties of light to promote people’s general health and wellness. The company is now drawing on that long history in LED and UV lighting solutions to address these precarious times. Healthe’s Cleanse® line of light solutions continuously sanitizes indoor environments. This three-layered system includes a walk-through Cleanse® Portal, which can remove up to 90 percent of the viral load on a person’s clothes and belongings in just 20 seconds. Next, Far-UVC Downlights are deployed to continuously sanitize surfaces and air, while an Air-Sanitizing Troffer is used to continuously cleanse and circulate the air.
“We look forward to bringing this technology and products to both our current investment portfolio of 37 businesses across America, but also leveraging our past experiences and relationships in Multifamily and Senior Housing to make those sectors and the communities as safe and sterile as possible. The goal is ultimately to make these facilities safe places to be, while also not interrupting the esthetics that operators, designers, and customers love and come to expect. For us, Healthe’s products fit seamlessly into this vision,” added Stroud.
“We are grateful to Stroud Companies for their strong financial support. This critical investment will enable us to continue to innovate in new technologies to promote a safer world, while growing our business, said Healthe Executive Chairman Abe Morris. “Many sectors of our economy have been devastated by this unprecedented health crisis, and in particular senior living communities. Given Stroud’s first-in-class reputation in this sector, we look forward to a long and successful partnership because of our shared goal of safety as a first priority, especially among communities that are most susceptible to viruses.”
