As the country continues to reopen, many establishments are using high tech solutions in the fight against COVID-19. Among these solutions, Healthe’s Far-UVC Cleanse® products have been popular with companies to help protect its employees and staff against viral pathogens. Recently, and to much fanfare, certain businesses have installed the Healthe® Entry™ (formerly the Cleanse® Portal) the largest, and one of the most unique, products within the Cleanse® suite, on their grounds.
The Entry is a free-standing walkthrough arch sanitizer, similar in size and shape to a metal detector. It uses Far-UVC light (207-222nm), which scientific studies have demonstrated is effective at inactivating airborne and surface-level pathogens.
Prior to its August 4 reopening, the Space Needle, Seattle’s iconic landmark, installed an Entry as part of an initiative called “Elevating Clean,” which has a mission to ensure its visitors and staff are as safe as possible from COVID-19. After it temporarily closed on March 13, the Space Needle has spent nearly $1 million “to implement the most effective, science-backed cleaning technologies and protocols available to keep air and surfaces clean from viruses and bacteria.”
“I think we’ve got a process in place that is going to make the Space Needle one of the safest places to be in Seattle," Space Needle CEO Ron Sevart told Geekwire. Among these technologies are many which contain Far-UVC light, including the Entry, which stands at the entry-gate.
The Capstone at Royal Palm, a new assisted living and memory care facility in Royal Palm. Beach Florida, made Florida history this month when it added numerous Cleanse® technologies on its grounds to become the first senior living facility in the state to install state-of-the-art sanitization solutions. Among the solutions is the Entry, which was recently installed at the community’s main entrance.
Seniors who contract COVID-19 face a significantly higher risk of hospitalization or severe illness than any other group of the population. The Entry, along with additional Cleanse Far-UVC technology installed at the facility, will provide another layer of sanitization to safeguard the Capstone’s residents and staff.
“By going through our portal, we add another level of assurance that we are not bringing the [COVID-19 pathogens] into our store." Bobbie Lloyd, Magnolia Bakery's Chief Baking Officer told ABC in a feature that recently aired on GMA3: What You Need to Know. "the staff has a level of comfort that we are doing everything we possibly can to keep them safe."
